Professor Quigley has worked in NSW and Tasmania in a number of academic roles prior to receiving his Chair at St Andrew’s University in July this year.
As the Director of Human Interface Technology Laboratory Australia (HITLab) at the University of Tasmania, he led research partnerships with HITLabs at the University of Washington, and the University of Canterbury - sharing the goal of developing revolutionary interfaces that transform how people interact with computers and improve the human experience.
In addition to holding three patents, he has also published over 100 internationally peer-reviewed publications including edited volumes, journals, and conference and workshop papers.
He has made a significant contribution to research and development in the region which is now being recognised internationally.
