Community engagement

Community engagement is an important part of the NeW Space project and we are committed to keep the community informed throughout the duration of the project.

An engagement program has been developed and includes stakeholder briefings, newsletters, information sessions, project updates, fact sheets and a dedicated email address.

Stakeholder Briefings

The University of Newcastle have met with, and will continue to meet with, local Council and State Government stakeholders as well as relevant industry bodies.

Information Sessions

The NeW space precinct is a significant revitalisation project for the city of Newcastle. With our principal contractor Hansen Yuncken, our project managers APP and our design team of Lyons and EJE Architecture we are excited about starting works on site.

A series of 'meet the team' sessions were scheudeld in 2014 and 2015 and we will look to schedule more in 2016. The community were invited to come along and chat to the team responsible for delivering this significant development. Our sessions are a great opportunity to find out more about this significant project, meet the people who will deliver it and ask any questions you may have.

A newsletter to regularly update the community on the project will be developed later in the year. Please check back here to see how you can register your interest in receiving this or send us an email.

The NeW Space project team will provide information and answer questions about the education precinct at any time. If you have an inquiry about the NeW Space facility, please email or call 02 4921 5000.
