The Faculty of Health and Medicine was placed 4th in Australia in the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) initiative.

Excellence in research

The Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) initiative is an evaluation of research quality in Universities by the Australian government. It is administered by the Australian Research Council (ARC), covers 5 years of research and principally judges the quality of research publications.

In the recent 2012 ERA assessment, the Faculty of Health and Medicine was placed 4th in Australia based on the number of research codes relevant to health and medicine rated at above and well above world standard.  The significant results achieved are:
