Postgraduate Social Club

The principal objective of the Postgraduate Social Club (PSC) is to provide enjoyable extracurricular social activities for our postgraduate students at Newcastle Business School, most of who are international students. These activities not only provide a refreshing break from the rigours of study, but importantly add to collegiality amongst students and hopefully provide fond memorable experiences of their time at Newcastle. The longer term benefits of students participating in these events include the forging of long term friendships across different cultures, and nurturing the potential of building professional linkages between future business leaders.

Activities organised by the PSC include student BBQ's and a once in Trimester during Trimester 1 and 2 an "Adventure". A day long outing to a local scenic attraction. For example in Trimester 1, 2013 the PSC took students on a dolphin watching cruise in beautiful Port Stephens. Previous adventures have including trips to nearby Glenrock National Park and the Central Coast Wildlife and Reptile Park. During Trimester 3 the PSC holds its' premiere event, a Multicultural Performance Night held at the beautiful "old" Newcastle Town Hall.
