Executive Committee
Providing advice to the Vice-Chancellor on matters of strategic and operational significance, the primary role of the Executive Committee is to define and focus the strategic direction of the University in line with the NeW Directions Strategic Plan 2013-2015, and prioritise operational decisions according to this framework.

Membership of the Executive Committee is drawn from the senior leadership of the University's Faculties and Divisions, with the Committee chaired by the Vice-Chancellor.
Terms of reference for the Executive Committee are currently under review and will be added to this website when finalised.
Executive Committee Update
You can find out more about the key outcomes and decisions from each week's Executive Committee meeting in the EC Update, which is provided weekly to Heads of School and Directors and is also available to all staff via the web. An archive of past updates is also available.
30 September 2013 - Privacy management, the draft 2014 Corporate Plan and strategic asset management activities - find out more in this week's EC Update.
Executive sponsorship
Where an agenda item is proposed by a University staff member who is not a member of the Executive Committee, an appropriate Executive Committee Sponsor for the item must be identified.
This sponsor should be the member of Executive Committee whose portfolio or interests most closely align with the topic at hand; this will often (but not always) be the supervisor of the staff member putting forward the agenda item.
Submitting a paper
Papers for consideration by Executive Committee must be provided by close of business on the Thursday preceding the relevant meeting.
