LIBRARY CATALOGUE
The library catalogue is a list of all the books, DVDs, videos, CDs, conference papers and journals the University of Newcastle Libraries hold.
The library catalogue is called NEWCAT – In NEWCAT you can search by keyword, title, author, subject – or even combine searches if you like.
NEWCAT searches all the resources we hold across all our campuses - Ourimbah, Callaghan (Auchmuty and Huxley libraries), City Campus, Port Macquarie as well as selected Hospital libraries throughout NSW.
NEWCAT is the first place you should look for information if you want a book. Journal articles are not usually found in NEWCAT unless your lecturer has specifically requested one. Then you would find them in Short Loans Online.
BONUS - If we do not hold the book in NEWCAT it is possible to find the book in other university libraries across Australia. Click BONUS to see if the book is at another university and request it.
