Omitting the year of publication

When a year of publication occurs naturally within a sentence, you may not want to repeat it within the in-text citation.

To omit the year of publication:

  • Click within the in-text citation in the Word document, then select Edit & Manage Citations. The Edit & Manage Citations Window will appear.

  • Click the drop down arrow next to Default (bottom frame in this window), select Exclude Year, then OK.
