If you need to move citations either within the same document, or between documents, you must first unformat the citations. To do this:

• Click , then . Citations will change from the formatted state, for example (Smith, 2009), to the unformatted state, for example, {Smith, 2009 #23}.
  
  
• Use Copy and Paste to move the text and unformatted citations.
  
  
• Once moved, click to reformat the in-text citations and bibliography.
