Omitting author names

When an author’s name occurs naturally within a sentence, you may not want to repeat it within an in-text citation.

To omit an author’s name:

  • Click within the in-text citation in the Word document, then select Edit & Manage Citations The Edit & Manage Citations Window will appear

  • Click the drop down arrow next to Default (bottom frame in this window), select Exclude Author, then OK.

Example
