Using the Find Citation command

This method is useful if you are unsure which of the references in your Library is the correct one. The Find Citation command allows you to search your Library using any word that appears anywhere in your Library’s references.

  • From the EndNote toolbar in Word, select the Insert Citation icon Find Citation, then Find Citation. This opens the EndNote Find & Insert My References Window
  • Enter your search terms, then click Find. Matching references will be displayed in the bottom panel of the Find & Insert My References Window
  • Select the required reference from the search results, then click Insert
  • The citation will be inserted into your Word document, and a bibliography entry created.
