Using Find Full Text
EndNote's Find Full Text feature allows you to select references in your Library and automatically retrieve and attach their PDF files. Whilst this feature does not work perfectly it can save you time.
Before using Find Full Text for the first time you must configure your EndNote installation. Once this is complete, to use Find Full Text:
- Select the EndNote records (up to 200) you would like to retrieve PDF files for, then click the Find Full Text icon (
).
- At the Find Full Text login screen enter your Student or Library Card number, and your Library PIN, then click Submit (you may need to scroll within this window to view this button)
- Click Continue. The EndNote Find Full Text copyright and usage notice will display - click
.
The Find Full Text group (bottom left hand frame) will display details of the number of records searched and full text retrieved. A paperclip symbol will appear alongside those records for which the PDF was retrieved. A copy of the PDF will be included in the Library's .Data folder.
