Direct export
Most of the library databases include a ‘direct export’ option that allows you to automatically transfer references from the database to an EndNote Library. Check Exporting directly from databases for a list of direct export friendly databases.
Using direct export is straightforward, and generally involves the following 3 steps:
| 1. | Searching a library database |
| 2. | Marking the references to be saved |
| 3. | Selecting the database's ‘Direct Export’ option |
If an EndNote Library is open, references are automatically imported into it. Otherwise, nominate the EndNote Library where the references will be transferred.
