Research expertise

Since 2000, I have participated in several major research programs in structural engineering and I have initiated and developed a major multi-strand research program in structural masonry. This is at the forefront of international research efforts.

I maintain close and productive international research links, including the Kiev State Technical University for Civil Engineering and Architecture, where I worked prior to my appointment at Newcastle and the Slovenian National Research Institute for Civil Engineering, where I carried out a research project during my last outside study program.
