Locations
Community Music Program
The majority of the Community Music Program options are are delivered in Newcastle Conservatorium or in the various buildings around the university's Newcastle City Precinct. For a map of the City Precinct click here (pdf 48kb).
To accommodate music lovers from the Hunter Valley we also run a limited range of study options at Hunter Valley Grammar School Norfolk Street, Ashtonfield (East Maitland). Enquiries: 02 4921 8900
Parking
The Conservatorium has only two very small car parks both of which are available only to University of Newcastle staff or guests whose cars display the requisite sticker and permit. Cars illegally parked will be infringed by parking officers and Security. Infringements are dealt with directly through the State Debt Recovery Office.
Security
Campus Security can be contacted from the blue security phones in the foyer abd on the ground floor or for emergency calls on (02) 492 15888.
A uniformed security guard patrols the city precinct of the University between 3pm and 11pm.
Harold Lobb Concert Hall
The Conservatorium Concert Hall is a 500 seat concert hall located in the heart of the Newcastle CBD.
The Hall is regularly used for concerts, lectures, and masterclasses by many local, national and international performing artists. It is also available for hire for private functions.
